Fuzz pedals and boxes give guitars that distorted sound we've become accustomed to. To kick off the fall we've got a number of shows with songs from the '60s and '70s featuring that overdriven guitar tone. They say we can thank country singer Marty Robbins' song "Don't Worry" for that, surprised as it was by a 6-string bass guitar plugged into a console with a faulty transformer. "Satisfaction" by the Stones took the sound further, and then it snowballed. Unlike the last two weeks' shows featuring harpsichords, this series is not for the fainthearted.
