Directions to WMBR
As of January 2024,
some of our radio shows are being broadcast live from our studios,
but many of our shows are still pre-recorded. During those times,
no one will be available to answer our front door. Please contact us
by email to ensure that someone is at the station to meet you.
We are located at:

We are in the basement of the
Walker Memorial Building
(M.I.T. Building 50).

We are at the corner of Memorial Drive and Ames Street.
We are directly opposite the MIT Sailing Pavilion.
As parking is limited and regulations are aggressively enforced, our
guests are strongly encouraged to use public transportation to visit
WMBR during the daytime and during snow. In the evenings parking
opens up, and one can usually find a spot very close to us by 6 or 7
PM.
Once you've found the building, come right on in and go to the
basement. Our doors are clearly marked, and the basement isn't too
large so don't worry about getting lost inside. Please be warned
that, after you ring the doorbell, you might have to wait a few
minutes, since everyone inside may be on the air or involved in
time-critical production.
Subway Take the Red Line to the Kendall/MIT station which is a short
walk from WMBR. Walk west on Main Street, then turn left on Ames St.
Walk south on Ames St. until you reach Memorial Drive, then right and
The Walker Memorial Building will be right in front of you.
Bus: There is a regular MBTA bus (#1) service along
Massachusetts Avenue to MIT's main entrance at 77 Massachusetts
Avenue. If you arrive there and the weather is nice, the easiest way
to get to the station is to walk south one block towards the Charles
River, turn left onto Memorial drive, and walk to the Walker Memorial
building. Otherwise, go into the main MIT lobby where there is a
campus map as well as an information/reception office that is open
during working hours.
