Hugh Pool comes from a small town outside Pittsburgh. At 15 he began playing guitar. At 20 he moved to NYC and began busking in the subways there. In his 20s he played with (and recorded with) the country blues trio, Catfish. He formed his own band (the Hugh Pool Band), then founded Mulebone with John Ragusa around 2000. They've made 3 albums together. He also recorded an album back in 1996, Willsboro Sound Lab, as a rock-funk trio, which has finally been released (June). We'll talk about that, Mulebone and his work at Excello Recording Studio this morning when he stops by. That's from 9:30-10am.
Location: 88.1 FM
