Lee Dorsey & Clarence James Blast adapted a children's rhyme into a New Orleans R&B 1961 hit on the Fury label. Within a year, Petula Clark and Johnny Hallyday transformed the song into the "Ya Ya Twist", leading to a parallel history of this tune. We'll hear two hours of versions, violations and variations of this hit.
