RADIO with a VIEW's Marc Stern along with WMBR News Director Linda Pinkow and reporter Dave Goodman interview Prof. Jonathon King about MIT's relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Following reports that the government of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman were involved in the murder of Saudi -American journalist Jamal Kashoggi, Institute President L. Rafael Reif declared that MIT would maintain it's extensive academic, financial and philanthropic relationships with the Kingdom. Prof. Jonathan King is an active leader with the organization MASS Peace Action, which argues that MIT should sever ties with Saudi Arabia. MIT Prof. Richard Lester, a proponent of keeping the status quo, was invited but declined to join us on the program.
