So begins "Lush Life", one of the finest pop songs ever written. As Part of WMBR's Prideweek celebration, Subject to Change focuses on the this 1948 work of black queer teenage wunderkind Billy Strayhorn, confidante to Duke Ellington. We'll hear two ours of this song, popularized by Nat King Cole in 1949.
