WMBR and Newbury Comics present MISSION OF BURMA live at MIT's East Campus Courtyard

A concert in celebration of the imminent release of Mission of Burma's new album, "The Sound The Speed The Light". This will be the third release by this influential underground Boston band since its "inexplicable" return to action in 2002.

Mission of Burma: Legendary early-80s post-punk. Reunited in 2002. Still legendary.

Big Bear: Ranked 2009's "Best Metal Act in Boston" by The Boston Phoenix.

eula: Noisy post-rock from New Haven. Hand picked by Mission of Burma to open this concert via the 'Battle for Burma' battle of the bands.

This outdoor even is FREE, ALL AGES and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, rain or shine. "Doors" open at 2:30 pm, with the opening bands slated to go on at 2:30 and 3:30 pm respectively. Burma will hit the stage around 4:30 pm.

Please Note:

• No bags or alcoholic beverages will be allowed in the courtyard
• There is absolutely no parking on campus. The event is located a few blocks from the Kendall Square Red Line MBTA station.
• In the event of severe weather, the concert will be called off.
