Ian McLagan of The Small Faces/The Faces interviewed live on WMBR's Lost & Found Program

Was aired on the program: Tuesday, November 17, 2009
12:00pm - 2:00pm

Keyboardist Ian McLagan will be interviewed by telephone by host Eli Polonsky at about 12:30 PM! McLagan began his musical career in 1965 when he joined British pop/rock/R&B group the Small Faces, who had several U.K. Top Ten hits before their biggest, the psychedelic pop "Itchycoo Park", made the U.S. Top Twenty in January, 1968. After they broke up in 1969, McLagan, drummer Kenney Jones and bassist singer/songwriter Ronnie Lane joined guitarist Ronnie Wood and vocalist Rod Stewart to form The Faces, whose harder-rocking bluesy sound yielded many major hit singles, albums and tours before breaking up in 1975. McLagan also played on Stewart's successful solo albums during that period. During and after a Small Faces reunion in the mid '70s, McLagan recorded or toured as a sideman with musicians including the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Joe Cocker, Taj Mahal, David Lindley and many more, as well as recording and touring with his own Bump Band and solo to the present. Ian will be making his only New England appearance tonight (Tuesday, November 17) at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, MA

Location: 88.1 FM
