Singer/songwriter/bassist Ian Lloyd of the band Stories is scheduled for a live telephone interview with host Eli Polonsky at approximately 1:15 PM EST!
Lloyd and keyboardist Michael Brown (of '60s "baroque-rock" band The Left Banke) formed Stories in New York City in 1972. Their first self-titled album included the #46 hit "I'm Coming Home". First pressings of their second album "About Us" in 1973 did not include a song that was added shortly thereafter as an afterthought, a cover of a UK hit about interracial romance by English pop/R&B band Hot Chocolate called "Brother Louie". Stories' version became a Billboard #1 hit single, still played on major classic rock stations. Lloyd and Stories recorded one more album in 1974 before breaking up. Lloyd's career has since seen him doing session vocals with many major rock acts as well as many solo projects, including his new release "O-de-Po". Ian Lloyd will perform a 9:00 PM early set at the Cantab Lounge in Cambridge this Saturday, December 5. Listen for your chance to win tickets!
