Jon Anderson, founding member of British progressive rock band Yes, is scheduled to be interviewed by telephone by host Eli Polonsky beginning at approximately 1:00 PM EDT!
Known for his soaring alto-tenor (not falsetto!) vocals, mystic lyrics, and complex epic-length compositions, Anderson was lead vocalist and principal songwriter for the band Yes during their "classic" period from their formation in 1968 until 1980, and again from their reformation in 1983 through their 35th anniversary tour in 2004.
Following recuperation from asthma-induced respiratory failure in 2008, Anderson began touring as a solo acoustic performer in 2009, playing many of his songs from the classic Yes repertoire, and music from other projects including his latest CD "The Living Tree", recorded with longtime Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman.
Jon Anderson's solo acoustic tour will be at the Somerville Theatre this Saturday, April 23. One pair of tickets will be offered for giveaway during the show!
Location: 88.1 FM
