WMBR Presents Deradoorian at Hayden Courtyard

WMBR Live Presents: Deradoorian of the Dirty Projectors with Levi Schmidt. Angel Deradoorian is a Brooklyn-based musician best known for her work as bassist and co-vocalist for Dirty Projectors. Her voice has been described by Pitchfork as "intoxicating" and "a waxy, seductive instrument". Her 2009 debut solo EP, Mind Raft has been described as "hypnotic repetitions interrupted by the weight of an equally hypnotic voice, harmonizing with itself". Opening for Ms. Deredoorian will be Levi Schmitt, a local singer-songwriter who recently graduated from MIT, whose music combines folk, funk, R&B, soul, blues, rap, and smooth croon. The concert starts at 8:30 in the Hayden Library courtyard (Bldg. 14) at 160 Memorial Drive. A college ID will be required for admission. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the 6th floor of the MIT Media Lab (Bldg. E14) at 75 Amherst St. Advanced tickets are available at wmbrlive.com at $3 for MIT and $6 for other college students. Tickets at the door will be $5 for MIT and $10 others.
