Jon Anderson, founding member of British progressive rock band Yes, is scheduled to be interviewed by telephone by host Eli Polonsky at approximately 1:00 PM EDT! Known for soaring alto-tenor (not falsetto!) vocals, mystic lyrics, and complex epic-length compositions, Anderson was lead vocalist and principal songwriter for the band Yes during their "classic" period from their formation in 1968 until 1980, and their reformation in 1983 through their 35th anniversary tour in 2004. After recuperating from asthma-induced respiratory failure in 2008, Anderson began touring as a solo acoustic performer in 2009, playing many songs from the classic Yes repertoire and from other projects including his latest CD "Survival and Other Stories". Jon Anderson will perform at the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley, MA on Thursday, August 11. One pair of tickets will be offered for giveaway during the show!
