Guitarist/singer/songwriter Kim Simmonds, founder and leader of the British blues band Savoy Brown, is scheduled to be interviewed by telephone by host Eli Polonsky at approximately 12:30 PM!
Savoy Brown, one of the pioneering bands of the British blues movement of the 1960s, was formed by Kim Simmonds as The Savoy Brown Blues Band in 1965. They achieved popularity in the USA and the UK with a series of albums played on progressive rock radio and a rigorous touring schedule in the late '60s and early '70s.
With founder Simmonds the only constant member among changing band lineups over the decades, Savoy Brown is now celebrating 45 years of touring worldwide and has released nearly 50 albums, including their latest "Voodoo Moon" in 2011.
Savoy Brown with Kim Simmonds will be performing at the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley, MA on Friday, December 16th, and the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA on Saturday, December 17th. Listen for your chance to win tickets to the Bull Run show!
