Originally aired:
In 1994, the West Memphis Three were convicted of the murder of three young boys though no physical evidence linked them with the crime. Damien Echols (the only accused being age 18 or over at the time of the killings) was sentenced to death, while the other two received life sentences. Echols spent 10 years in solitary confinement. The West Memphis Three were all freed in 2011. Echols, his wife Lorri Davis (who worked tirelessly for his release), and film maker Amy Berg (director of "West of Memphis," the fourth documentary about the controversial case) talk about the case and the movie (which opens the next day at the Kendall Square Cinema). The interview lasts for about 30 minutes.
Location: 88.1 FM
