A number of Hispanic songs have become hits north of the border, whether La Bamba or Guantanamera. The Mexican bolero-mambo "¿Quién será?" written by Luis Demetrio was a hit, including for Pablo Bertrain and Pedro Infante. Within a year, noted pop translator Norm Gimbel (responsible for English lyrics to "Girl from Ipanema," “So Nice” (Summer Samba), “Meditation,” “How Insensitive” and “The Song of the Sabia) created lyrics for Dean Martin. We'll hear two hours.
